Welcome to a space where healing meets authenticity—a therapeutic experience that is anything but sterile. JJ is a queer, client-centered therapist dedicated to guiding pre-teens, adolescents, young adults, and adults (ages 10–40) through the often complex and deeply personal terrain of emotional growth and psychological healing.
With a foundation in problem-focused treatment, JJ prioritizes equipping clients with core coping and resilience skills before diving into deeper emotional work. Their clinical experience includes working with individuals struggling with suicidal ideation, self-harm, trauma, and identity-related stressors. Whether supporting a teen in crisis or walking alongside a young adult processing complex trauma, JJ’s approach is relational, educational, and rooted in real-life applicability.
JJ draws from a wide range of therapeutic modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). As a lifelong learner, they are continuously expanding their clinical toolkit to better serve their clients in ways that are innovative, affirming, and effective.
More than just a clinician, JJ is a dynamic human being who brings energy, humor, and genuine care into every session. Outside the therapy room, you might find them embracing fashion trends, practicing yoga in the mountains, dancing at live music events with their partner, or relaxing with their beloved dog, Leo.
JJ is currently accepting new clients via a waitlist and invites anyone navigating emotional turbulence, trauma, or identity challenges—especially teens, young adults, and caregivers—to reach out when they’re ready to begin this collaborative and empowering journey.
